Target audience

This workshop is intended for TOP managers of organizations, members of project offices and senior project managers who are interested in quickly and efficiently finding out the state of the portfolio, program and project management of the organization in comparison with proven best-practices approaches.

Using the structured method (powered by Axelos), you will work out the current maturity of key and supporting areas. You will get an objective review of strengths, weaknesses and proposed measures, as well as priorities for more effective management.

With P3M3 you can assess and compare current performance much better than ever before and effectively plan and develop plans for required improvements. Whether from the position of project manager, director, sponsor, top management or investor.

Target group:

  • Organization management
  • Audit & Assurance to managers
  • Procurement assessing the supplier
  • Project, Program, Portfolio for managers / offices
  • Managers responsible for implementing changes within the organization

Audit

P3M3 allows you to assess a specific process, people's competencies, tools deployed, or methodology, or a complex organization.

The audit does not need to be performed completely on all "3Ps", i.e. portfolio, program and project management. For example, you can select and focus on project management or other parts of P3M3 only.

  • Project Management (PjM3)
  • Programme Management (PgM3)
  • Portfolio Management (PfM3)

How to get the most of P3M3

Whether it is a complete "3P" or just one area of current status detection and the resulting report is divided into these 7 areas:

  • Risk management (e.g., whether projects systematically manage risks)
  • Finance management (e.g., how financial reporting is set up)
  • Resource management (e.g., whether resource planning and allocation work effectively)
  • Organizational Governance (e.g., compliance of projects with the rules and strategies of the organization)
  • Management control (e.g., project standardization, internal regulations for change and risk management, etc.)
  • Benefits management (e.g., identification and verification of project benefits incl. retrospective review of benefits)
  • Stakeholder management (e.g., whether project stakeholders are identified and effective communication takes place)

Assesment

Self-assessment is a simple, reduced form of assessment performed by an organization based on the information provided. The advantage is the short duration, but the disadvantage is the limited "depth of immersion" and the low degree of independence / objectivity. Here are evaluated 3 models (portfolio, program, project) x 7 perspectives x 3 attributes per perspective = a total of 63 areas.

Full certification assessment is provided by a certified ACP partner using a complete certification toolkit and under the supervision of AXELOS. Here, the accredited partner evaluates 3 models (portfolio, program, project) x 7 perspectives x 3 attributes per perspective x 5 levels of maturity x 10-13 so-called threads = a total of up to 1,365 areas.

Full certification assessment is also provided by a certified ACP partner using a complete certification toolkit and under the supervision of AXELOS. Here, the accredited partner evaluates 3 models (portfolio, program, project) x 7 perspectives x 3 attributes per perspective x 5 levels of maturity x 13 so-called threads x 3 orcs = a total of about 4,000 areas.
