ISTQB
The ISTQB scheme provides support for the definition of career paths for professional testers by offering a 3-tiered certification scheme starting with the Foundation Level and continuing with the Advanced Level and Expert Level.
The Foundation Level syllabus has an add-on, which is the Agile Tester syllabus, and this ISTQB Agile track continues with further specialized topics within the ISTQB Specialist track, e.g. the Model-Based Tester syllabus.
The Foundation Level qualification is aimed at anyone involved in software testing.

The Foundation level
The Foundation Level qualification is aimed at anyone involved in software testing. This includes people in roles such as testers, test analysts, test engineers, test consultants, test managers, user acceptance testers, and software developers.
This Foundation Level qualification is also appropriate for anyone who wants a basic understanding of software testing, such as product owners, project managers, quality managers, software development managers, business analysts, IT directors and management consultants.
Holders of the Foundation Certificate will be able to go on to higher-level software testing certifications.
Examination
The typical duration of the Foundation Level Training offered by an Accredited Training Provider is 2 days. Completion of an accredited training course is not a prerequisite for participating to the exam.
The Foundation Level exam is comprised of 40 multiple-choice questions, with a pass mark grade of 65% to be completed within 60 minutes. Participants that take the exam not in their spoken language, will receive additional 25% time, for a total of 75 minutes.

Dvacet let pracoval tam, kde se IT skutečně láme: spravoval tisíce serverů, navrhoval sítě pro T-Mobile, stavěl infrastrukturu poboček od Ukrajiny po Indii a pro Societe Generale řídil migraci 60 000 počítačů. DHL si ho do svých bezpečnostních týmů nasmlouvala třikrát. Testování proto zná ze strany, kde se jeho absence platí nejdráž: z provozu, kam nakonec dorazí každá změna, kterou nikdo pořádně neotestoval.
Jak vypadá jeho kurz?
Sylabus ISTQB vám nepředčítá, ukazuje ho na situacích, které sám zažil: co znamená „dostatečné pokrytí testy“ při migraci desítek tisíc stanic, jak vypadá akceptační test, který obstojí u banky, a proč se nejdražší chyby hledají v požadavcích, ne v kódu. Jako Certified Ethical Hacker přidává bezpečnostní testování: penetrační test je také test a má svou techniku, návrh i reporting. Certifikace CCISO mu umožňuje podat totéž téma testerům i vedení, které rozhoduje, kolik testování si projekt může dovolit.
Jeho poznávacím znamením jsou praktické ukázky postavené na jednoduchém principu: s minimem prostředků maximum efektu. Žádné divadlo s laboratořemi za miliony, ale postupy, které si účastník dokáže zopakovat ve vlastním prostředí hned další den. K tomu tři věci, které online kurz nenabídne: výuku v češtině, skupiny o 7 až 12 lidech a dialog. Můžete se ptát na situace z vlastní firmy a dostanete odpověď člověka, který obdobnou situaci pravděpodobně řešil.
